Wear is She Wednesday: Nadine Fuller

Though Nadine humbly admits she dislikes talking about herself, we have no problem telling you all about how fabulous she is! It would seem this Cornell graduate and vintage connoisseur is just one of those magical beings who has it all: brains, beauty, and a huge heart on a mission to save this planet. Not only that, one scroll through her instagram feed will have you drooling over her impeccable wardrobe.

Read on to learn all about Nadine’s biggest style inspirations, what she’s most proud of right now and how she hopes to make a positive impact on the world!

1. How would you describe your style in 3 words?

This is so tricky omg! Definitely vintage influenced,usually pretty feminine and definitely a lot of the same classic elements my mom enjoys.

2. What was your personal style journey like?

When I was younger it was definitely influenced a lot by mom. She tends to do a lot of matching, very classic silhouettes with a bit of bohemian flair. Then of course a brief tumblr phase, but that was more like collecting influences rather than acting them out, somehow.

Once I moved out though, I was definitely much more immersed in Instagram style and now I’m drawn to more vintage or vintage influenced imagery. I’m not sure I’ve made too many mistakes per se but I was once called out by a stranger in a dining hall for only wearing monochromatic pink during my sophomore year, so…

3. Who or what inspires your style most currently?

I make full use of the instagram saved feature and often will scroll through mine as a moodboard of sorts if I get stuck getting dressed. Lately I've been really inspired by the editorial component of Paloma Wool and the way it celebrates the female form. Also, in the town I was last living in, there are a lot of middle aged women who embody a strong bohemian vibe while exuding comfort and so I've been really about that as well.

4. What’s one thing on your thrift list right now?

I was going to say a 70s suede mini skirt but I just found one of eBay I'm pretty excited about. Hopefully it's going to fit! I’m still looking for a good pair of Adidas white shorts if I can find em’ before summer is over.

5. What do you hope to be remembered for?

Ideally I hope I can make a difference with climate advocacy, even if it’s within my local community. But on an even smaller scale just being a supportive, empathetic friend.

6. And the bonus question I like to ask everyone before they go: What’s something you’re really proud of right now?

I’m doing a lot of reflecting on myself and the people in my life, trying to detangle all the pieces and ensure I’m taking care to only let in people who deserve to be in my life. I’m also doing my best to stop leading a fear driven life. For instance I’m currently based in New York but I'm potentially moving out to California, a place I always seem to be envisioning myself.
